Using reverberators to modify space acoustics
Pavlikovský, Vladislav ; Orlovský, Kristián (referee) ; Kurc, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with adjusting the reverberation time of enclosed spaces. It is divided into two thematic areas. The first thematic area deals with active systems that adjust the reverberation time, with a stronger focus on usage of reverberators to simulate secondary spaces. The second thematic area is the implementation of reverberators and their fundamental building blocks in Matlab.
Methods for quadrature modulator imbalance compensation
Povalač, Karel ; Valenta, Václav (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
Quadrature modulator (demodulator) is used in transmitting (receiving) part of many devices. Unwanted imbalance can influence amplitude, phase or DC offset of modulator (demodulator). Correction of imbalance was a main subject of thesis. Simulations of these methods were created in MATLAB and results were compared. Basics of methods were implement on programmable logic field by program Xilinx ISE. Development kit V2MB1000 with analogue board Memec P160 was chosen for this purpose. In the last part were compare simulation results with practical measurement.
Web-Based Demonstration of Linear Filtering
Novotný, Ondřej ; Bařina, David (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a demonstration application of discrete linear filtering. The introductory section summarizes the theory of digital filtering and filter design. The following chapter describes the existing applets. Subsequently, the concept of the demonstration and its implementation are described. The final part contains tutorial examples of using the demonstration and summary of users' reactions.
Design of Reverberator for Room Acoustics Simulation
Húserka, Jozef ; Orlovský, Kristián (referee) ; Kurc, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with artificial simulation of acoustic spaces by using reverberators. Output of this document consists of four reverberation algorithms and function that evaluates objective parameters of acoustic space from impulse responses. Reverberators and script were implemented using Matlab. Graphical user interface is used to present all of the algorithms for easier usability. First chapter deals with objective parameters of acoustic spaces and the ways they are computed from impulse response. Second chapter describes various structures which are used to build reverberators. Those structures are used in third chapter in implementations of reverberators. Third chapter also compares all implemented reverberators . In last chapter experiment was made. Impulse responses of three spaces were measured and subsequently aproximated by algorithms implemented in this thesis.
Digital signal processing from MEMS microphones
Koníček, Cyril ; Pristach, Marián (referee) ; Fujcik, Lukáš (advisor)
Proposed bachelor thesis is focused to the filter design for digital signal processing from digital microphone (MEMS type). The microphone types, structure of AMDP421 digital microphone and digital filter types are described in details. Selected filters are modelled, designed and simulated in MATLAB tool to meet the filter specification. The results are sufficiently commented and assessed. Afterwards the digital filters are described in VHDL language and implemented to the target FPGA circuit. In frame of the work the extended modules to SPARTAN 3 STARTER KIT are developed and designed to evaluate and demonstrate the proper function of the proposed filter design.
Signal analyzer with FPGA
Kraus, Václav ; Bohrn, Marek (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to study the possibilities of spectrum calculations, as well as data transfer via USB 3.0 and data saving to a DDR3 memory via FPGA. The focus is also on design and realization of a spectral analyzer with a record of samples to DDR memory expnaded by a narrowband converter using gate arrays. The work is divided into two sections, the first one dealing with the theoretical background. The second part denotes the realization of the design. The result of this work is a signal analyzer in a FPGA controlled from a computer application via the USB 3.0 interface.
Methods for removing noise background from audio signal
Ruman, David ; Maršálek, Roman (referee) ; Povalač, Karel (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor work “Methods for removing interference noise from an audio signal” is to introduce individual methods used for dissolution a speech signal. The first part deals with linear filtration and spectral subtraction in a theoretical way. The second part applies these methods to a real signal, analyzes and consequently evaluates them.
Application of Machine Learning Algorithms for the Generation of Checking Circuits
Web-Based Demonstration of Linear Filters Design
Pospíšil, Ondřej ; Černocký, Jan (referee) ; Novotný, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a demonstration application focused on the design of digital filters. In the first chapters we outline the theory of digital filtration and design of digital filters. Then we summarize and evaluate the existing solutions. The following chapters describe the design and implementation of the actual application.
Measurement and analysis of ECG signal
Černohous, Lukáš ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
In the first part, this thesis focuses on theoretical knowledge about ECG signal generation, its measuring and filtration. Furthermore it examines the R-wave as the most significant portion of the QRS Complex, describes the LabVIEW environment and the Vernier LabPro interface. The second part of the thesis then shows one of the possible ways of the R-wave detection and the subsequent heart rate measurement, which is then implemented by a program designed in LabVIEW environment. In the conclusion, the results of the thesis are evaluated.
